Mark Panigutti, M.D.
Biography
Dr. Panigutti has been in practice at Southwest General Health Center since 1999 and is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has extensive specialized training in joint replacement surgeries and in the most state-of-the-art techniques. Dr. Panigutti was a founding member of the Orthopaedic Total Joint Center at Southwest General Health Center which was one of the first joint replacement only hospital units in Northeast Ohio. During his residency he also completed the esteemed Allen Fellowship in Orthopaedic Research at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Western Reserve University under the direction of Dr. S. Stevenson. Dr. Panigutti has numerous publications including book chapters and academic articles in orthopaedics.
Dr. Panigutti currently serves as the Medical Staff President of the Southwest General General Health Center and is the former Chief of Surgery. As a former Metro LifeFlight physician he also has significant expertise in fracture care and care of the trauma patient. Dr. Panigutti also has served as High School Team physician for numerous area high schools including Cleveland Heights, Mayfield Heights, and others, providing comprehensive sports coverage.
Dr. Panigutti is born and raised in the Southwest General Hospital community and is happy to serve his hometown and local community by providing comprehensive orthopaedic care. Dr. Panigutti enjoys traveling with his family as well as golf and Italian culinary arts.
